Power equipment maker Bhel has said that it has bagged a Rs 1,300-crore order from NTECL, a joint venture of power producer NTPC and Tamil Nadu Energy Company, for supply of turbines to the upcoming Vallur Thermal Power Project in Tamil Nadu. Bhel has won the order for the supply and installation of the boiler, turbine and generator package as an extension of the upcoming thermal power project at Ennore in Tamil Nadu, involving one unit of 500mw. The PSU is already executing a contract for the 2x500mw Greenfield Vallur power project of NTECL.
