The Supreme Court has said that construction of a third floor would be permissible only in residential localities and not in commercial areas of the national Capital. A bench of Justices Arijit Pasayat and P Sathasivam clarified that its earlier order permitting construction of third floor was restricted only to residential users. The apex court clarified the order after MCD counsel Sanjiv Sen moved an application before the bench seeking to know whether such constructions were permissible in commercial areas.
