DELHI HIGH COURT RESTRAINS BOXER VIJENDER SINGH FORM MAKING FRESH CONTRACTS
The Delhi High Court restrained boxer Vijender Singh, the Olymppics bronze medalist, from entering into any sports management agreement with Percept Ltd as he already has a contract with Infinity Optimal Solutions (IOS).
Hearing the plea of Ms Infinity Optimal Solutions, the firm which deals in celebrity management, Justice S L Bhayana restrained the boxer from signing any future contracts with new firms and directed him not to sign any deal with Percept, an event management company, till further orders.
IOS told the court that it had signed an agreement with Vijender till September 2015 and as per the terms of the agreement he cannot enter any other agreement with other companies for advertisement.
Lawyer for IOS contended that they had signed up Vijender Singh in September 2005 for exclusive representation rights for 10 years and the contract ends in 2015, so till then he is bound by the agreement.
