State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals has said that it has bagged an order worth Rs 338 crore from the country’s largest steel producer Steel Authority of India. “Bhel has won a Rs 338-crore order from SAIL for manufacturing turbo-blower packages for its Rourkela plant,” a company statement said. Turboblower packages are compressors used in the blast furnace of a steel plant. Bhel’s scope of work in the contract includes supply of three compressors with steam turbines along with associated auxiliaries and controls, besides erection and civil works. The company’s manufacturing plants at Hyderabad and Bangalore will supply the equipment.
