DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE INTRODUCES ONLINE FILING FACILITY OF SEZ PROPOSALS
The Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued a Circular wherein the procedure has been laid down for online filing and processing of application for setting up of SEZ. The same has been announced by the Export Promotion Council for EOUs and SEZs.
The following services have been made available:
1. Filing of application (Form A) for setting up SEZ.
2. Filing of other requests viz. Application for authorized operations, addition of co-developer, application for conversion of in-principle approval to formal approval, application for validity extension of approvals, change in developing entity, change in sector, change in area/ location, land details.
3. Inbuilt e-mail box for each developer/ co-developer to enable it to communicate with the Department.
4. Online status of requests.
To be able to avail this online facility, the developer/ co-developer would have to register itself and obtain a login Id and password. On registration, the developer/ co-developer will receive a confirmation email to the effect that the login name and password requested have been created. In cases where email is not received by the developer/ co-developer, a request may be sent to sectionofficersez@gmail.com with details of name of such developer/ co-developer, sector and location of SEZ, file no. and the email id of such developer/ co-developer.
