STAMP DUTY IN CAPITAL REDUCED TO 6%
The stamp duty for registration of properties in Delhi will now be 6% instead of 8%. A notification in this regard was issued by the Delhi Lieutenant Governor Tejendra Khanna. The decision has been effected as part of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewable Mission of the central government. As per the notification, Delhi government and MCD will have equal share in the earnings through stamp duty which has been reduced by 2% for registration of properties in the Capital.
