BCCL PICKS STAKE IN CRI INDIA

Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd (BCCL), the publisher of The Economic Times and The Times of India, has acquired a stake in Clinical Research Institute (India), a Mumbai based institute offering education in clinical research. "The clinical testing and research industry in India is growing rapidly. Over 50,000 jobs openings for doctors, pharmacy and science graduates are expected to be created over the next four years. The association with BCCL will help generate high awareness levels for this sunrise industry," said Clinical Research Institute director Vijay Moza. CRI's teaching methodology, while focusing on imparting technical training to students, also provides all-round training including sensitivity training, cross-cultural management, presentation skills, personal corporate conduct, public relations, public speaking skills and self-development programmes. CRI has also put in place an expansion plan under which it would open excellence centres in Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Kolkata over the next five months.
