NORWEGIAN AKER FLOATING BAGS $100-MILLION RIL CONTRACT
Norwegian oilfield services group Aker Floating Production has won a five-year contract worth slightly more than $100 million to operate a production vessel at Reliance Industries' MA field off India. The company said its Aker Borgestad Operations unit would be in charge of operating and maintaining the Aker Smart 1 floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel at the field, expanding the scope of an earlier $750 million charter. "Aker Borgestad Operations will be in charge of both technical operations and FPSO operations for the production of oil, gas and condensate from the MA field," it said.
