SYMPHONY SERVICES ACQUIRES US CO OPTIMAL ENGINEERING

Offshore product development (OPD) major Symphony Services has acquired US-based Optimal Engineering Partners, a full-lifecycle product engineering services firm focusing on embedded and real-time, systems and application development, reports Thanuja B M. While declining financial details, Symphony's CEO Gordon Brooks said: "Optimal's expertise is in embedded systems and software engineering space with customers like Sun Microsystems and Motorola. This buy will give a fillip to our embedded systems business." Optimal Engineering has revenues of $23 million, growing at 35%. The company is primarily present in the US.
