MAIT, COMTIA SIGN MOU TO CREATE VENDOR-NEUTRAL PLATFORM

Manufacturers Association for Information Technology (MAIT) has said it has signed an agreement with Computing Technology Industry Asso-ciation (CompTIA) to jointly create skilled and certified manpower for the IT industry in the country. The electronic sector in India is likely to create employment opportunities for over 7 million people directly and 1 million indirectly by 2015, a MAIT statement said here. The MoU would facilitate the creation of a vendor-neutral platform for assessing and benchmarking skills through standardised examinations accredited and accepted by the IT industry and vendors globally, it said.
