BHEL GETS RS 394-CR RINL CONTRACT
Power equipment maker Bharat Heavy Electricals (Bhel) has said it has bagged a Rs 394-crore contract from Rashtriya Ispat Nigam (RINL) or setting up a captive power plant at Vizag Steel Pant in Andhra Pradesh. The power plant would meet electricity requirement of the upcoming expansion project of the steel plant and is slated for commissioning in 26 months, Bhel said in a statement. The proposed plant would be equipped with a multi-fuel fired boiler, designed to utilise blast furnace gas a waste gas emanating from the steel making process as well as coal. The boiler would be made at Bhel's Trichy plant, it added.
