PERSISTENT SYSTEMS PVT LTD. ACQUIRES METRIKUS INDIA

PERSISTENT Systems Private Ltd, the over Rs 220-crore provider of outsourced software product development services, has announced its acquisition of Metrikus (India) Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of the privately-held, venture capitalfunded Metrikus Inc, USA, for an undisclosed amount. This is the 17-year old Persistent's third acqusition, and second in India, its first acquisition being a US-based software company.

Through this acquisition, Persistent Systems and Metrikus Inc have entered into a revenue sharing agreement to jointly market business intelligence solutions. All of Metrikus India's 30 employees will now join Persistent, which will get a presence in Hyderabad, where Metrikus India is located.

Metrikus operates in the area of business intelligence, which comprises a set of tools and applications that allow corporate decision makers to gather, organise, distribute and act on critical business information.
