SATYAM WINS $75-M GLOBAL NESTLE DEAL

NESTLE has extended its contract with Satyam Computer Services for a contract to standardise its business processes worldwide. Satyam company expects a cumulative revenue flow of $75 million from the three year extension, and the number of people deployed on the Nestle account are expected to grow from around 300 to 500 in the next year.

Around 80% of the staff on the turnkey project will be based out of Bangalore while the rest will be based in locations out of Switzerland, Germany, France and Sao Paulo. Currently, the manufacturing vertical of which the Nestle account is part of, accounts for 29% of Satyam's revenues and Nestle is a top ten customer in this vertical.
