5000CR SEZ

  PUNJAB seems to have emerged as the preferred investment destination of Ambani brothers. Close on the heels of super mega agri project being developed by Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries, comes the clearance for a mega SEZ project to be developed by Anil Ambaniled Reliance One World.

The proposed SEZ is likely to be set up over an area of 5,000 acres and is expected to involve direct investment in excess of Rs 5,000 crore. This immediately gives rise to doubts over land acquisition, which has been a major stumbling block for several SEZ projects in Punjab .
