SEZ POWER NORMS IN PLACE

Power generated in SEZs can be supplied to all units or facilities in the SEZs and outside (in the domestic tariff area), as per guidelines for power generation, transmission and distribution in a SEZ, issued recently by the commerce department. The supply of power from the processing area to the non-processing area or from the processing area/non-processing area in the SEZ to the DTA shall be at such price as agreed by the regulator and the unit.
