JUBILANT, FINLAND CO INK PACT

Pharma company Jubilant Organosys has said that it has joined hands with a Finland-based firm Orion for the discovery of drugs. "Jubilant Biosys and Jubilant Chemsys, the two subsidiaries of the company based at Bangalore and Noida respectively, have entered into three-way drug discovery partnership with Orion," the drug maker said in a filing to BSE. Under the arrangement, Finnish drug firm Orion would have the option of utilising resources flexibly from the two units of the Indian pharma company on the requirements of its drug discovery projects, it said. "Through this partnership, we would achieve a good basis for success as it would complement our inhouse discovery effort," Orion Corporation's Antti Haapalinna said.
