BCCL ACQUIRES STAKE IN CHENNAI-BASED NOUVEAU DIETETIQUE

Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd (BCCL), the publishers of The Economic Times and the Times of India, has acquired a stake in the Chennai-based Nouveau Dietetique. The company said in a statement that its association with BCCL with its bouquet of media platforms, would help the company reach its target customers, which is the young urban India. Nouveau Dietetique is engaged in the business of functional & medical foods. The company added that it plans to its health foods under the umbrella brand name `SATVA'. The company added that the commercial launch of its products in cities such as Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Ahmedabad is currently in the first phase. The company's products include Choco-de-lite which is a sugar-free chocolate, Getrim, a nutritional drink designed to fit into any weight loss or weight maintenance programme, and meal and snack replacement bars among others.
