EXECUJET, AERION BAG $400-M ORDERS FOR SUPERSONIC BIZ JETS

Swiss aviation company ExecuJet in association with the US-based engineering firm Aerion Corporation has secured five orders for supersonic business jet (SSBJ) from India. "The orders are valued at $400 million (nearly Rs 1,600 crore) and fills a part of Aerion's $2 billion (around Rs 8,000) crore global order book from over 20 orders across the world," ExcecuJet's ED (Marketing) Peter Smales told reporters here. The SSBJ has generated serious interest across the Middle East and Sub-Continent since its introduction in November, 2007," Smales said.
