INFOSYS WINS TRADEMARK DISPUTE
The Delhi High Court has directed computer education institute Park Infosys not to use the word Infosys in its name as it is a registered trademark of IT giant Infosys. Delivering the judgement on trademark infringement suit filed by Infosys Technologies, Justice Gita Mittal said: "There can be no manner of doubt that use by the defendant is likely to result in confusion and the same has propensity of diverting customers and business of the plaintiff to the defendant. The service range of the defendant is also similar to that of the plaintiff. In this view of the matter, I am of the considered view that the plaintiff is entitled to a decree for injunction as prayed for."
