SUVEN GETS SECOND PRODUCT PATENT

City-based Suven Life Sciences has been granted its second product patent by the US patent office for a class of compounds being developed for the treatment of neuro-degenerative disorders.

The disorders include Alzheimer's, Parkinson, schizophrenia and Huntington's disease. This drug has a $18 billion potential market opportunity, said Suven Life Sciences CEO Venkat Jasti. The company was granted its first product patent, also for central nervous system disorders.
