VERIZON INDIA GETS LICENCE FOR INTERNATIONAL & NLD SERVICES

Verizon Business India, a Verizon Business and Videocon Group JV, has received licences for international and national long-distance services. Verizon will now offer telecommunications services to multinational companies with operations in India, as well as to Indiabased multinationals. Verizon Business India will offer a full range of services, including international private-leased circuits with multi protocol label switching and Internet protocol services. Verizon Business already holds an ISP licence in India and has various local ISP facilities. The JV plans to deploy new nodes in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi.
