CHENNAI-BASED LIFECELL GETS ACCREDITATION FROM AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF BLOOD BANKS (AABB)

Chennai-based cord blood stem cell bank LifeCell announced that it had been granted the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) accreditation. "It is a proud moment for us that LifeCell is the first cord blood bank in India to be awarded by an esteemed organisation like AABB for our commitment to quality," said LifeCell's vicechairman Abhaya Kumar. LifeCell, which is planning to go public next year, expects revenues of about Rs 60 crore this fiscal.
